“And whosoever speaketh a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come”(Matthew 12:32).
Throughout Scripture, if you look closely we discover a plethora of varied creative writing techniques such as metaphors, symbolisms, parallels, parables, and in many cases even two, three, and sometimes even four syllable words that are primarily used to better illustrate, as well as emphasize the writer’s inspired word from God’s spiritual message. Oftentimes, the writer takes certain liberties to use words that are not considered legitimate words, they are not typically used in the same way we use them in the contemporary english language of today.

Some of the words used, such as wherewith, lovingkindness, lasciviousness, longsuffering, and for the sake of this post, the word whosoever is prominently displayed in significant circumstances regarding the believer. In this theological study, I have identified a common pattern, each time this word is used it’s topic is always about extremely important issues that suggest a distinctive characteristic which separates the individual described in the passage from the general worldview. For instance, pertaining to the subject of prosperity, “For whosoever hath, to him shall be given, and he shall have more abundance: but whosoever hath not, from him shall be taken away even that he hath” (Matthew 13:12). Pertaining to the topic of love; “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life”(John 3:16).

This is perhaps one of the most popular passages written in the Bible. It speaks of the supreme sacrifice made by our Creator, and illustrates His great agape love for the believer. In fact, this passage demands the new believer to truly examine themselves and ask the question; Are You A Whosoever? Regarding our subject on positive confessions of faith, there was this: “But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven” (Matthew 10:33). Additionally, there was this confession: “Also I say unto you, Whosoever shall confess me before men, him shall the Son of man also confess before the angels of God:” (Luke 12:8). In conclusion, the Scripture records how although God is faithful to forgive us for our sins, “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness“(1 John1:9). However, there is only one unpardonable sin which He will not forgive. “And whosoever shall speak a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but unto him that blasphemeth against the Holy Ghost it shall not be forgiven” (Luke 12:10).
