First of all, let me say there is definitely an important distinction that should be understood between the two. Whether we realize it or not, we exercise our faith all of the time without really thinking about it. Consider this situation: you are at an intersection about to cross the street. The light turns red. You have faith that every car coming your direction at high speeds will stop. They will allow you to safely cross the street because you have seen this happen many times. You trust in the system. Because you can see the light is red, everyone will stop. Right? This is head faith. It is contradictory to the Scriptures, the word of God admonishes us to have faith in God! “And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God” (Mark 11:22). How about the faith you use at your place of employment? You trust and believe by faith. You will work your (40) forty hour shift. On Friday, you will receive a paycheck. How about when you’re at church? You simply trust by faith. You believe the pew will hold you. It will not fall. Also, there is the time we spend when we travel by air, or by bus, train, or automobile. We exercise our faith every time when we trust someone we have never seen. We don’t know how much experience they have in operating the vehicle, aircraft, or train. We trust this aircraft carrying two hundred or more people all of different weights. We trust all of their luggage is not too heavy. We trust that an airplane that weighs over a ton will get you and your cargo to your destination safely. I think you get the point>Right? All of these are common examples from life. I define them as times when we are exercising head faith. This post is talking about real Bible faith!

“That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus and will believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation”(Romans 10:9-10).
I believe at this point we must define the term heart using the word of God standards. We must carefully examine what it says is the heart of man. It is not talking about the physical heart that pumps blood through your body. You couldn’t believe with your physical heart. It is just as unlikely as believing with your hand, or your foot, or your arm. Let’s see what Scripture says about the heart? According to the Bible, “But let it be the hidden man of the heart, in that which is not corruptible, even the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God of great price”(1 Peter 3:4). This passage describes the heart as a man who is hidden. In other words, you can’t see him by using your physical senses. You cannot touch, smell, or see him. He is not a physical man, he is a spiritual man. “God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth”(John 4:24). A second witness; Paul explained it like this: “For which cause we faint not. Though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day.”(2 Corinthians 4:16). Spiritual Observation: Faith will work in your heart, with doubt in your head!

“For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith” (Mark 11:23).
To summarize, we conclude that Real Bible Faith is spiritual. It comes from the heart, not the head. Man is actually a spiritual being. He lives in a body. He has a soul. He is created in God’s own image. We can see how the writer, Mark, clearly states that this innate spiritual power is available to anyone. If they believe what is said, they shall have it. It applies to those who confess and/or speak without doubt in the heart. This covenant includes a condition. The condition suggests how faith is not based merely on your belief, but it is voice-activated. “Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them”(Mark 11:24). Note: When you pray, you say! Your Real Bible Faith is instantly, as well as spiritually initiated, when you pray, not when your petitions manifest. However, there must not be any doubt in your spiritual inner man of the heart. It says absolutely nothing about doubt in his head. Faith will work in your heart, with doubt in your head! Additionally, I have discovered an interesting mathematical theory in this passage that should be considered. The fact that saying or speaking is inferred to activate your faith is used in this passage (3) three times. In contrast, to believe is used only (1) once. Note: The last statement in this passage supports my position. It reads, “he shall have whatsoever he say’s,” not whatsoever he believes.
“Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths” (Proverbs 3:5-6).
