The spiritual truth lies in your faith and hope in a living, giving, and loving God. Remember, hope and faith are also essential to your diligent search for Christ. One pastor described hope and faith as the wet in the water. “You can’t get wet without water, and you can’t have water without wet.” Therefore, you can’t get faith without hope, and you cannot get hope without faith. This gospel truth affirms the inerrant word of God as a substance that cannot be perceived by our mere senses, but by our spirit. Also, it confirms that God was not speaking of things which we can see with our eyes in our definition of faith found in Hebrews 11:1.

When we think of hope we must consider the rudiments of the word. Hope is synonymous with our imagination. We were made in God’s very own image or imagination first before we were actual creatures. The worlds were made in His imagination also by faith. Keep in mind, the power of our mind; the mind is the only weapon the devil can use to destroy us. He attacks us through our mind. Again, this is the reason we are instructed to fight the good fight of faith. You cannot fight the good fight of faith unless you are a diligent seeker of God’s word.

If the only requirement was simply to believe and you will obtain salvation, then even the devil would be saved. Did you know the devil believes there is a God? Did you know that the devil also knows Scripture?
