Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof (Proverbs 18:21). This Scripture is relevant in this discussion because it deals with the essential purpose and humanity of man, which is death and/or life; not the race, color, or creed, nor the individual economic standing. Additionally, examined closely the Scripture does not say death and life are in the power of God, or the power of Jesus, or even the power of Satan. This means we are all created with an equal position in God’s creation. “For there is no respect of persons with God” (Romans 2:11). Therefore, knowone has any advantages or disadvantages over the other. We are not victims of circumstances!

As Christian believers, we are given the authority, the power, and control over our own lives. We are given a covenant by God and the ability to choose between speaking life or death through our positive confessions of faith. “I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live:“(Deuteronomy 30:19). However, we must acknowledge this power by speaking, accepting, and believing we actually possess this holy gift from God by exercising our faith through our words. As we continue to speak the will and word of God our faith begins to grow. “So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God” (Romans 10:17). Again, we must consider what the passage does not say to truly understand and interpret the spiritual message. It does not say who has to hear you when you speak His word. What is important is the fact that when you speak, you can hear yourself. According to Scripture, “In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth” (Genesis 1:1). We understand and have record how Adam was created by God. He was fully grown, therefore his genetic structure had to be already developed.

To continue the point with our biblical resource, “And God said, Let the waters under the heaven be gathered together unto one place, and let the dry land appear: and it was so. And God called the dry land Earth: and the gathering together of the waters called the Seas: and God saw that it was good” (Genesis 1:9-10). Consider how each time God began to create, Scripture records; “and God said.” Who was He talking too? Remember, faith comes by hearing. RIght? An all knowing, omniscient God knew we would need faith, and therefore He provided us all with this awesome gift.

“For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith“(Romans 12:3). We are admonished to begin to follow the same principles that our Heavenly Father used while speaking the world into existence. Our confession simply means to say and or agree with what God says in His word about us. It does not teach us that we must understand how this system works; only the fact that we must say, believe, and agree with what God says we are. It’s wierd how only pertaining to issues of religion do we require this standard. Case and point: Can you explain how an airplane which weigh’s tons can transport hundreds of people along with their luggage and actually fly 30,000 feet in the air? Can you explain how a ship weighing tons, with thousands of passenges and their luggage can float on water? The fact is we are only interested in the final result.
